Abstract

New methods of training crew members for fight a fire are being considered, based on the experience of chief officers and masters who have an experience of fire on a ship in reality. The collected analysis of incidents showed that today's methods of fire fighting characterized by scheduled duties between the crew are not effective, and are not implemented in an emergency situation. The proposed methods of practical training are aimed at reducing panic, rational use of crew forces and knowledge of special ship technical means of fire fighting.
