Abstract

The article analyzes and summarizes the experience of work on psychological correction of children and adolescents who have received mental trauma as a result of their parents’ divorce. In particular, the experience of American and European psychologists, their methods and approaches is examined, and various techniques and methods of work of local psychologists are also explored. It is noted that the relationship between teenagers and their parents is influenced by such factors as the level of socio-economic development, the nature of the relationship between husband and wife, standard of living, and social environment. These relationships can be regulated both with the help of special methods and by creating appropriate conditions (an established life, treatment of somatic diseases, involvement in socially useful work, etc.).
