Abstract
Physical recreation for students is one of the most promising types of physical activity. Due to accessibility, lack of strict regulation, and the ability to meet both the biological and social needs of students, physical recreation is easily integrated into the lifestyle of a modern student, providing the level of involvement necessary for regular independent studies. As part of physical education at the university, it is necessary to increase attention to the theoretical and methodological preparation of students for the use of physical exercises for recreational purposes, ways to purposefully include recreational motor activity in the daily routine. The development and improvement of the content of non-specialized education in the field of physical recreation seems to be a necessary condition for the full-fledged physical education of students assigned to a special medical group for health reasons.
